Spring is in the Air

Spring...the air is cold, the smell of earth and rain. Spring isn't my favorite time of year but you get a present everyday. Color popping up all around us.

Crocus is the first in my garden to surprise me on a cold winter day. I'm not going to share the Latin names for all the plants I would be in google land for the rest of my life. I don't even know what variety these are but I do know crocus is in the same family as Iris.
The stone is from an old church that was torn down in Nashville.  Hyacinth's and daffodils will bloom in almost any condition
Grape hyacinth, I can never get a good picture of these, they must be camera shy.

Garden pic of the day: Daffodils

 I love their little faces..
daffodils will grow just about anywhere, the soil here is poor and the ground is hard but they thrive

I'm excited to share my garden with everyone

Im excited to get to share my beautiful flowers with everyone. Hopefully you will get inspired! Share my journey, my life, my home.!

Welcome to my home. Pictures are from when I first moved in. There was a lot to do my last house was about 1/4 of the size.
I cleaned up the yard a bit and made a map of where everything was blooming so I knew in the spring where everything was and not to pull up something I wanted to keep.
the back yard still needs a lot of work but  slowly I am getting there.
This was mid summer of 2015. Come back and I will show you some of my flowers!
